Video HTML5

Requires latest web browsers

Digital audio equipment is becoming cheaper to buy every day and it is quite common for people to record audio and video files and share these with friends. Most smart phones and tablets have these facilities built into their OS and sharing has become easier with YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flickr; however sometimes it is worth investing in a professional video maker to made to an advertising video for you.

HTML5 now allows for easier embedment for video and audio. Java however may need to be enabled on your device.

HTML5 Video Support

Video in HTML5 uses the bowsers own video controls therefore the control panel if required will look different when viewing in each browser. Video can be made to auto play however the option to start, stop, pause, rewind and full screen option is always better for the viewer.

In order for the video to work seamlessly across the five major web browsers: Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Opera the video needs to be in three different formats .mp4, .webM and .ogg (or .ovg)

Please note some mini mobile versions of these browsers are not supported i.e. Opera mini

YouTubeTM Video File Embedment

Loading your file to YouTubeTM makes it easy for us to use a link code to display the file on your website. Full controls for the video are automatically made available so a mini video can be expanded to full screen resolution with a click of a mouse or touch of a button as seen below.

If however you still have the video then this can be placed directly on your server and embedded directly into your web page as per the video above above.

YouTubeTM video embedment will work on most browsers and OS. There are no special tags used however this website is a responsive website therefore you will see this video as per the graphics automatically resize to suit your viewing screen.

Video HTML5, CSS3

A bit of jargon busting what does this all mean?

HTML (HyperText Markup Language) CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). HTML is a program language code and CSS is a styling sheet that links into your HTML webpage. Later versions of both of these have made it easier to embed Video and Audio Files.

The main browsers now support HTML5 and CSS3 coding. The enhanced HTML5 means we can now use code that makes websites dynamic with cross browser and device capability. The video and audio you can see on this page make use of HTML5 tags.

Should you not be able to view the video or listen to the audio file on this page you may need to update your web browser and or enable java.

First generation iPad's and iPod Touch's are not supported. Opera Mini is not supported check here

Audio Files

We listen to more than we ever used to. The Mobile MP3 players, smart phones and other computer systems allow us to listen to music on the go, learn a new language or listen to interviews.

More Radio broadcasts are now available to download as podcasts so you never miss your favourite program again.

Audio broadcast on websites hasn’t been exploited as much as video however sometimes it nice to have an audio broadcast playing in the background while you work. Some of our clients have been featured on National TV and Radio. Linking to these broadcasts or obtaining the file to use on your site for playback or podcast can be beneficial to your website.

Video / Audio Conversion

If you have a video / audio file that that you would like to see on your website then this can be done. Most, if not all, video and audio files can be converted to appropriate file types that can be streamed by webservers and browsers. In some cases videos files and audio files may need to be edited to obtain the best viewing and listening experience.

Video files can usually be expanded to for PC screen. This is so for YouTube video as well as videos that sit on your server.

We suggest you keep videos to only a few minutes long because viewers using mobile devices without wifi connections may incur data charges due to streaming large video files.
